Do you often experience intense emotions like fear or anger that seem hard to manage? Are you struggling with anxiety or stress that feels beyond your control? Are you looking for ways to feel more stable, in control, and generally better?
I deeply empathize with the struggle of managing overwhelming emotions, stress, and instability in your daily life and how this can profoundly affect how you want to be, feel and live.
I’m Dayshun, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a great passion for supporting and empowering others. I am the founder of Inner Quest Health & Wellness, a place where we explore ways to heal from the inside out.
As a trauma therapist trained in EMDR, Polyvagal Theory, and integrative therapy techniques, I support individuals facing the often overwhelming effects of their experiences, whether big or small. Trauma isn't always about the big events that happen to us. It's really about how these events make us feel inside. Sometimes, even things that might not seem huge can still feel too overwhelming to handle. That's because trauma is about your personal experience with what happens, not just the event itself. So, if something feels too much for you to deal with and leaves you struggling, it might be a form of trauma. And that struggle can manifest as stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD, difficulty feeling connected, stable and present in the here and now, and much more.
I believe that healing starts from the inside, and it begins when we understand ourselves better. Our bodies and minds naturally know how to heal, but sometimes they get blocked. I'm here to help you figure out what’s blocking you so you can experience shifts in symptoms and habits that are getting in the way of how you want to feel and live. In therapy, I use a personalized and whole-person approach, creating a supportive and safe space that helps you grow and evolve. I also encourage using simple practices like movement, breathing exercises, visualization and being mindful to support your healing journey. I'm dedicated to helping you unlock your natural ability to heal so you can cope with the challenges you face, find peace and enjoy life.
Outside the therapy room, I cherish my time in the kitchen, creating baked goods for my friends and family, and exploring the natural beauty of the Colorado Rocky Mountains with my husband Kevin, our Golden Retriever Arthur, and cat Fred.
You deserve to be supported, respected and cared for. If you feel connected to what you've read, I invite you to contact me to begin your inner quest for better health.
